I saw Hillsong Live tuesday night in Tulsa, and was able to talk one of the sound guys into taking a picture of the Droff's pedalboard. Here it is!

I'm hoping to pull the trigger on a timefactor in the next week or two Smiley

this pedal is what holds my board together. i'm confident that you won't be disappointed by it.
a word of advice, upgrade the firmware. it opens up so many new doors.

Have you noticed any tone suck by the a/d d/a conversion in the pedal? Plan is that I'll buy both time&mod factor pedals...should I get a TB looper from T1M? I do plan on getting the 3-button TF controller, should I have him make a looper and just put the 3buttons on the end?

I never got to play with a timefactor, but I was big fan of the DL4.  I suspect that an M9 for layered delays would be exactly what I've been after.  Most of Droff's tones I like so much were originally done with a Line 6 Echo Pro (rack unit).

i thought it was mainly the TC G-Force that he got it from, and then when he layered his delays it was with the Echo Pro?

AC30: lol no one's got more delays than the Edge!  What was it, like 4 TC 2290s?  Plus I could've sworn on some earlier videos there was a lone DD-3, plus all his other rack stuff probably has em too.

I never used the DL4 because it lacked settings (mainly dotted eighth) that I had to have for song selections we were doing. While it remains one of the best/easiest to set up for very light textural stuff, there's also the issue of volume drop when engaged...which can be remedied by Robert Keeley, but for a very high price...by the time you buy a new DL4 and have it modded, you could have a Nova, a DD20, possibly a TF, so it never was much of an option to me. Droff uses the TC Nova Delay on his live rig. I was riding the fence about it, but a month or so ag I was at a Charlie Hall concert before I decided to go ahead and pull the trigger on the timfactor...Kendall Combes uses one. It was the most pristine delay I have ever heard. At one point he had so much gain/fuzz/whatever that chords were almost mushy, he kicked on the timefactor and started picking notes and they were as clear as if they were completely clean. I was blown away with the quality of the sound. I got to have a chat with him about it afterward (it was a small show) and after hearing it then and talking to Kendall, I knew it was what I want. Plus the stereo/multi-delay options it offers are insanely cool.

i've never heard the tone suck or latency that some others have complained about. but the 3-switch controller is a MUST.
the TF is absolutely PERFECT for my needs. see, my worship band plays mostly originals, so i have all of our songs saved in the banks, and for when we play shows, i can just set it all up in order, and bank up to the next preset. it's very convenient.

on a separate note about the TF's sound quality, the digital delays are pristine and clear, doesn't really get much clearer. and with the upgrades, the analog and tape sounds are fantastic as well. and all of the weird stuff like the band delay and all that are very usable as well.
